There is nothing stronger than a man's will, and especially so when speaking about the iron will of the Rebbe, of blessed memory. Thought went hand in hand with action, and will together with performance. So it was with each building and project; the idea was borne and the action followed. This was especially seen when speaking of the daring idea that flourished into the Sanz Medical Center.
The Medical Center isn't just another hospital, but rather one that has a solid basis in halacha, Jewish law. The Rebbe wanted to create a unique approach in the area of doctor-patient relationship, and he succeeded in doing so.
The Medical Center includes a large number of departments: Gynecology and Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Surgery, Ear-Nose-Throat, Intensive Care, Dialysis, Hematology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Cardiac Catheterization, Orthopedics, and others.
Special emphasis is on the emotional care of the patient. At the same time, the Medical Center makes use of the most modern methods available in the medical field for treating illness. The equipment, utensils, the expertise of the staff, their continued advancement to keep up -to- date with the latest breakthroughs in the medical world, have contributed to the hospital’s renown as being the best in the country.
Adjacent to the Medical Center are the various "Outpatient Clinics" such as: Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Allergy, Surgery, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Ear-Nose-Throat, Premature Infants, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology. And the institutes: Catheterization, Mammography, EEG, Ultrasound, Radiology, Echocardiography, Laboratory and Pharmacy.
In addition, there is also an Emergency Room which provides urgent care and which serves the public at large. People come to the hospital from all over the country. It's easy to understand why. Here they feel at home; Shabbat is Shabbat, the level of Kashrut is excellent, and the emphasis on Jewish law is legendary. People who have heard of these policies, or those who have been hospitalized here and have experienced the specialized care first-hand, are amazed at the qualified staff, the quality of care, and the special atmosphere that is difficult to find in any other place.
